ABOUT MARK

Mark McKinney has been creating beautiful, quality homes, estates, and innovative commercial spaces for a period of eighteen years. Prior to becoming an architect, Mark worked for fifteen years as a carpenter. Because of this experience, his drawings reflect the information needed for a smoothly run project.

Mark's residential services range from new custom homes to additions and renovations, plus multiple-family dwellings. His commercial projects have included: restaurants, office spaces, hair salons, churches, and warehouses. Mark's client base ranges throughout California. Mark is very versatile and experienced in a large variety of styles. He encourages his clients to be actively involved in the design process so that their buildings reflect their unique personalities and dreams.

As your architect, Mark will analyze your building site to take advantage of the natural environment to enhance and benefit your project. He will be sure that the placement of walls, windows and rooms will take the best advantage of your views, light, and movement of air, thereby creating an architecturally and environmentally harmonious design.

Mark has expertise in working within budgets both large and small. He is sensitive to the clients monetary concerns and will advise them as to the relative costs of particular decisions. He builds and maintains good rapport with local building department officials so that he can offer rapid processing of plans and issuance of building permits.

Most of Mark's referrals come from past clients, contractors and his ongoing relationship with developers. These relationships are very important to Mark, as his greatest reward is for his clients to be excited and satisfied with their finished project.
